SARS Database Allegedly Hacked, Officer Information Leaked

A famous anonymous website hacker has allegedly broken into the Nigeria Police Force Special Anti-Robbery Squad database and released information of the officers in the now disbanded unit.

The hacker released about 371 names of SARS officers in Nigeria.

Following arbitrary arrests actions and killings by its officers, the police unit is criticised in the region.

The protest has been going on for eight days across the country’s various states.

A Twitter user known as @von_bismack, shared some photos of the details released by the hacker.

@von bismack had previously posted an audio of Anonymous giving 72 hours to the Nigerian government to listen to the peaceful protesters’ appeal.

As Nigerians wait for more classified information about the government to be made public, the amount of information hacked by Anonymous has yet to be known.
