Three male students have been suspended by the authorities at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for allegedly raping their female colleagues in a hostel.
Nnamdi Destiny, Ovunwo J. Henry and Samuel Valentine were the suspects listed.
While the first two students were arrested and handed over to the police, the vice-chancellor, Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, who described the act as an immense shame, said the third was at large.
He said: “The matter was also referred to the Disciplinary Committee for Students to determine their fate.”
The University Registrar has been instructed at any time of the day to issue a memo prohibiting inter-sex visits.
