On Saturday , October 24th, alleged hoodlums attacked, vandalized and burned down the West African Examination Council (WAEC) office located in Calabar, the state capital of Cross River.
The thugs also targeted several vehicles before setting the remains of the vehicles ablaze, removing several body parts, including tyres and batteries.
Similarly, the Calabar-based house of Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba was also looted. After the looting of his house, the hoodlums eventually set fire to the house.
In Calabar, the Psychiatric Hospital has also been vandalized.
As hoodlums continue to loot and ruin both government and private properties, the Cross River State government has been forced to declare a 24-hour curfew.
Some of the facilities already affected are the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office along Marian Road, the Cross River State Transport Regulatory Agency (CRTRA) office, and the banks along Mayne Avenue and 8-Miles Calabar.
