Jeremy Wisten, a former Manchester City youth team player, allegedly took his own life because of depression at the age of 18.
The young man had played for the English Club, Manchester City youth side, before his death.
A talented defender born in Malawi but raised in the United Kingdom, Wisten joined the elite development squad of City in 2016 before leaving the club recently.
On Sunday night, Man City posted a tweet about the death of Witsen and disclosed that they were “deeply saddened” by the news as senior players Raheem Sterling and Aymeric Laporte were among those who paid their tributes as well.

While there has been no confirmation of the cause of death of Jeremy Wisten, some sources say that the adolescent took his own life. Wisten is thought to have suffered from mental health problems and depression that led him to commit suicide.
After hearing the heartbreaking news of her son’s suicide, Jeremy ‘s mother, Yakosah, was distraught, but the Wisten family has yet to publish a statement.
