The popular saying “every disappointment is a blessing” has prompted a social media feud between singer Dencia and a fan.
Reprudencia Sonkey, also known as Dencia, recently highlighted on her Instagram stories that disappointments are not a blessing, and that setbacks lead to broken trust and broken bonds.
Disappointments, according to Dencia, lead to the loss of friendships, family, and a variety of other things. “I don’t know who said “every disappointment is a blessing,” because that isn’t always the case; sometimes it’s broken trust, broken relationships, loss of friendships, family, and more.” No matter how you try to spin it, disappointments aren’t a benefit.”
The post, which was uploaded on instablog9ja, drew varied comments, with Dencia’s supporters expressing both criticism and approval of her opinion.
Dencia’s sense of logic was attacked by a critic who suggested the fashion designer needed to heal. “That’s why you have to heal… most disappointments are blessings,” Oluwatobilabalayelorun replied.
