More disturbing accounts of how late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu was raped and assaulted during her marriage continue to circulate on social media.
The late singer’s eldest son also revealed that their father was frequently abusing Osinachi. He went on to say that their father had also urged them to beat up on ladies.

In a social media post, Ene Ogbe verified that the deceased’s husband had been apprehended by Nigerian police officers.

Ene, who has not to answer to an inquiry regarding her relationship with the dead at the time of WithinNigeria’s article, shared her depressing conversation with the son, saying:

“I had a conversation with the firstborn, and I was on the verge of tears again.” This boy told me about his mother’s ordeal with his father, and how he beats her up over the smallest of disagreements. He said, “Anti my dad pushed my mother out of the car at night after wed service, and bad boys snatched my mother’s bag that night. How mom got home that night, I can’t tell because dad left her.”

“People dashed my mom these two cars (pointing at them for me to see), but dad will sometimes say my mom should ride her bike while we go in the car, and even when we are returning from church, my mom will stand in the sun and we will drive by and wave at her, because my father told us that beating women is good.”

“I had to interrupt the conversation and tell him that beating a woman is terrible and that God forbids it, and I tried to reason with him. He claimed that they are relieved that their father was apprehended because he had previously beaten them severely.

“The second born sang for us as well, and he, like the mother, had a lovely voice.” The first stated, “My mother always kept silent for my father and always forgiven him, and now that she has passed, I told him not to worry since his mother is in heaven!!!”

“May our beloved sister’s spirit rest in peace, and may God look after her four children who she left behind, Amen!!”
