In Lagos, a young man murders his girlfriend and sleeps with her body for six days.

Ifeanyi Njoku, 24, was detained by members of the Lagos State Police Command for reportedly killing his 24-year-old girlfriend, Precious Okeke, in an estate in Badore, Ajah.

After a native doctor who was aiding him advised him to have sex with Okeke’s body, Njoku was claimed to have killed his live-in girlfriend in their apartment on Oke Street for ceremonial purposes.

The defendant was claimed to have been involved in the illegal conduct with the corpse for six days, after his neighbors complained to the estate management about the stench radiating from his unit.

According to PUNCH, Okeke’s decomposing body was discovered during a check of the residence, according to a source known as Elizabeth John.

“About six days ago, the boy killed his girlfriend, and he revealed that he planned to exploit the female for money rituals,” she stated. He said that he was instructed to have sex with his girlfriend’s corpse for seven days, but that he was caught on the sixth day. It’s meant to be the seventh day today (Monday).

“The scent of the dead had been bothering the compound’s neighbors and other occupants.” So they phoned the estate chairman for assistance in confirming what was going on in the apartment, and they discovered the girl’s body while searching the apartment.

“The teenager was apprehended and transferred to the Lamgbasa Police Station, where he confessed to killing his girlfriend six days ago during questioning.

“We discovered that the boy promised N6 million to solve the issue; we also discovered that he had his village girlfriend with him and that they had just moved into the estate.”

The deceased and the suspect were lovers, according to state Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the occurrence.

“Two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, both 36 years old, have been apprehended,” he said. They’ve been handed up to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Yaba, where they’ll be investigated further. “It was Njoku who rented the place.”
