Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President, has invited senators and the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus to his official residence to celebrate Iftar today.
Iftar is the meal that Muslims consume after sunset to break their fast for the day during Ramadan.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, read Vice President Osinbajo’s invitation in plenary today.
Members of the Senate and the APC caucus have been invited to Iftar in the evening at Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s official residence, Aguda House, according to Lawan.
He made the declaration after reading Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the APC’s National Chairman, and Senator Abubakar Kyari, the party’s Deputy National Chairman (North).
Both Adamu and Kyari represented Nasarawa West and Borno North Senatorial districts in Nasarawa and Borno states, respectively, before becoming APC leaders.
