A vehicle park in Enugu was attacked by gunmen, and at least one person was slain.

The perpetrators who are allegedly enforcing weekly sit-at-homes in Enugu despite the Indigenous People of Biafra’s (IPOB) ban also set fire to a Toyota Sienna automobile.

According to the Daily Trust, when the shooters assaulted the famed Holy Ghost Motor Park, the driver of the razed car was still loading passengers.

The driver was believed to have gotten away uninjured from the incident. The park is a short distance from the Enugu State Police Command, which is located on the Chris Chemist axis.

In Ebonyi, gunmen kill six people and burn down their homes.

The driver of the burned vehicle was alleged to have a habit of loading very early on Monday mornings to beat the enforcers of the sit-at-home law. When the shooters arrived in a minibus, he stood back from his vehicle.

Only one individual was shot and later confirmed dead at the hospital, according to Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the occurrence.

According to a news release issued by Ndukwe yesterday, authorities have initiated a manhunt for the offenders.
