Pastor Ibiyeomie counsels parents in Chrisland: Don’t Buy Phones For Any Child Who Isn’t In University.

The Salvation Ministry’s Lead Pastor, David Ibiyeomie, has recommended parents to wait until their children are in higher education institutions before purchasing their children’s phones.

“Don’t buy a phone for any youngster who has not gone to the university,” the cleric stated in a post uploaded on his Facebook page. It may appear to be a very inconvenient situation. Don’t do it, I know you’re too civilized.

“Don’t buy a phone; it’s not civilisation; phones and tablets, many things appear; they can use your phones; they can use your phones.” Purchase a landline for your parlour.

Remember that on Monday, a video starring pupils from Chrisland School in Lekki went popular on social media, sparking a wide range of opinions from Nigerians. While some have advocated for consequences against the school’s administration, others have blamed the disgusting behavior on bad parenting.

Remember that the Lagos state government shut down the school and warned people not to share the footage online. The case has now being investigated by the Lagos Police Department.
