Suspected bandits killed a secondary school teacher known as Tukur Kurma in Zamfara state’s Tashar Taya, Danzaure axis of the Anka-Dakitwakwas-Gummi route.

The gunmen fired the moving vehicle on Tuesday evening, according to the Daily Post, after the driver refused to halt alongside other vehicles.

Tukur Kurma was a senior history teacher at the Government Day Secondary School Gummi in Zamfara State, according to reports.

Three days earlier, four people were killed by armed bandits in Masamar Mudi, a village in the state’s Bukkuyum Local Government Area.

SP Mohammed Shehu, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), could not be reached by phone at the time of filing this report.
