Following her husband, Will Smith’s iconic Chris Rock slap at the Oscars, Jada Pinkett Smith, an American actress and talk show host, has revealed what her family is focusing on.
In a written statement released at the start of the new season of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that the Smith family is focused on healing after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.
‘Considering everything that has happened in the last several weeks, the Smith family has been working on deep healing,’ the 50-year-old actor stated.
‘When the time comes, some of our therapeutic findings will be shared around the table.’ Until then, the table will continue to host compelling, motivating, and healing testimonials like our tremendously outstanding first visitor’s.’
For the sixth season of their Facebook Watch conversation program, Pinkett Smith is returning with her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris and daughter Willow Smith.
Red Table Talk returns less than a month after Pinkett Smith’s husband, Will Smith, punched presenter Chris Rock in the face upon accepting the Oscar for Best Actor.
Rock made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s baldness as a result of her fight with alopecia.
Smith apologized for the incident and resigned from the Academy on April 1. The Academy said on April 8 that Smith would be barred from attending any Oscars ceremonies for the next ten years.
