Toyin Lawani on How Appearing On ‘Real Housewives Of Lagos’ While Nursing A Baby Was Tough

Toyin Lawani, a fashion entrepreneur and a housemate on the popular TV reality show ‘Real Housewives of Lagos,’ has opened up about how hard it was to be on the show as a mother who had just given birth.

“When I was first called to participate in the show, I was delighted but I was thinking if I really wanted to do it,” Toyin Lawani said during a Zoom meeting with some journalists and housemates of the show, adding that her husband, Segun Adebayo, and other family members supported her decision to participate in the reality show. The reason for this was that I had recently given birth in London (United Kingdom).I was thinking about a lot of things. However, the fact that people want to see more of Tiannah in terms of fashion has encouraged me.

“There is no such thing as being too big to try something new and unusual.” I have a lot of enterprises that I run in tandem with being a mommy. I had my baby just a few days before I was called to appear on the show. It wasn’t easy, but I had the support of my spouse and other family members. In them, I have a great support system.”

“I know (being on the show) would open more doors for me and my business,” Lawani, the Chief Executive Officer of Tiannah Empire, continued. My family is very supportive of my work. My daughter, who attends school in London, said to me at one time,I had to fly down to (Nigeria) to support me since I needed to milk my baby and be on the show at the same time.”
