Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga has stated that fellow teammate Cristiano Ronaldo helped him become a significant member of the Red Devils’ squad at Old Trafford.
Since the Portugal captain came to Manchester United from Juventus last summer, Elanga claims that Ronaldo has been tutoring him.
The 20-year-old has had a breakout season for Manchester United so far this season.
The Swedish teenager has made regular appearances under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
Elanga told Sky Sports that he picks Ronaldo’s brain in training and is ecstatic to be lining up alongside the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“I grew up watching United as well, so Wayne Rooney and obviously Cristiano Ronaldo,” Elanga remarked. In training, I talk to Cristiano a lot and he is always offering me advise.
“I grew up watching him play at Old Trafford, so being able to play with him now is incredible.”
“There have been many other players who have assisted me as well,” he added. Victor Lindelof, with whom I collaborate abroad. Juan Mata and Bruno Fernandes are also involved. Zlatan Ibrahimovic of the national squad has also taught me a lot. As a result, I have a wealth of experience that can assist me in progressing to the next level.”
