Former Zamfara Governor Yerima Enters Presidential Race.

Ahmad Yerima, the former governor of Zamfara State, met with President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to inform him of his intention to run for President. The meeting, which took place at the Presidential Villa, will precede Yerima’s announcement at NICON Luxury in Abuja this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has chosen the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form to run for President in 2023.

Emefiele chose the form on Friday and will announce his decision on Saturday.

Emefiele’s colleagues allegedly spent N100 million for nomination and expression of interest forms on Friday at the International Conference Center in Abuja, where the forms were sold.

Recall that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo announced his candidacy for the 2023 presidential election on Wednesday.
His spokesman, Laolu Akande, stated that the funds were raised by a “passionate team of support groups and individual Nigerians from across the country.
