Karim Benzema of Real Madrid is closing in on Cristiano Ronaldo’s club goal record at the Santiago Bernabeu.

On Thursday night, Benzema scored in Real Madrid’s 6-0 LaLiga victory over Levante, solidifying his status as a Real Madrid legend and one of the best goal scorers in club history.
In Real Madrid history, his first goal against Levante was a watershed moment.

Benzema’s goal against Levante was his 323rd in Real Madrid colors, tying Raul Gonzalez for the club’s second-most goals.

The France international is only one goal behind Ronaldo, who led Real Madrid with 451 goals.

With 219 goals, Benzema is Real Madrid’s third-highest scorer in LaLiga Santander history, behind Raul’s 228 and Ronaldo’s 312.

The 34-year-old has already scored 44 goals in all competitions this season, surpassing his previous best of 32 goals in the 2011/12 and 2020/21 seasons.
The former Lyon striker scored 425 goals in his career (323 for Real Madrid, 66 for Lyon, and 36 for France), surpassing Thierry Henry’s 411 goals.
